The property is a Victorian terraced house adjacent to the A548 near the junctions with South View Road and Catherine Street. There is a small garden area at the front and a partly-paved yard at the rear, with soil around the borders to allow for a small garden. There are two small storage areas in the yard, one being a shed built onto the end of the kitchen wall and the other being the former coal storage area. The downstairs rooms consist of a through-lounge with two sets of louvre-type doors which allow the front portion to be screened off as a sleeping area. The kitchen at the rear has recently been renovated and includes a new gas cooker, work surfaces and wall cupboards with blue and white tiling in between. The downstairs flooring - apart from the tiled kitchen floor - has been laminated. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, the larger of which is at the front, plus a bathroom / toilet above the kitchen area. The property has recently been re-roofed and a 300mm thick layer of rock-wool loft insulation has been laid over the whole loft area. In addition, the external doors have recently been replaced and the pre-existing single pane windows have all been replaced with PVC double-glazed units which meet the Profile 21 specification and the installation has been certified by the Local Authority as conforming with current Building Regulations – which include fire safety features. There is gas central heating in the property and this has recently been serviced and maintained by a Corgi-registered gas fitter.
